Q: What are the differences between the open source software market in Asia?

A: The uniqueness of Asia lies first in its model transfer. In-service is not dominant, and users are dominant. A series of new companies have emerged and become leaders. This opportunity is being developed, where there are great opportunities, and these opportunities also exist in Asia. Redhat's mission is to promote communication and build an ecosystem around existing open-source projects and projects that are not yet available. We can see a huge opportunity in it,

Q: What is your international revenue?

A: In the last quarter, the US account for 56%, Europe accounts for 24%, and Asia Pacific accounts for 20%. About half of Asia Pacific's revenue comes from Japan and half from other regions. I think China's revenue will double this year. Literally, it will increase by 100%. It will continue to grow in the next few years, with a growth rate of 100%.

Q: What management challenges do I face when I enter Asia?

A: I don't like Asia very much, because Asia has so many cultures and business methods. Japan is a detail-centered market that focuses on quality but needs to promote innovation and cultivation. The Chinese may be the most entrepreneurial, but it is difficult to recruit and retain people. Talent becomes more and more expensive, and you have to compete with other companies, such as IBM. However, it is difficult to understand the difference between China and Japan. Daily and daily business is required. You have to spend time watching it.

Q: What is the situation of Red Hat in China? What is the difference between it and other parts of Asia?

A: There are great opportunities in such a market as China. There are many technologies in China, many of which are old-fashioned Unix systems and large host systems. They have just been replaced in the United States over the past five years. We still have a great opportunity in China. We just started.

Q: Will people no longer be willing to provide source code services for free in the future?

A: sharing is becoming a culture. RedHat, Intel, and IBM are top open-source contributors. They do not just benefit it, but are more self-interested. Just like: "Take a small piece of cake ."

Q: Do you think information sharing and collaboration are the path to the future?

A: there will be major changes in the way the system is managed. The Facebook generation is used to collaboration, and they used to be used to competency. It will change the working architecture and enterprise nature. Big collaboration can solve many problems.

Q: How do you develop collaboration in red hat?

A: I already had a point when I went in. I said, "If there is no damage, don't fix it ". I tried to make it more orderly and structured, and I tried to advocate criticism and feedback. It is a completely different management method. Once you enter and see its energy, you will know how incredible it works.

Q: What is the current objective of RedHat in Asia?

A: We are establishing open source communication. First, we see a typical shift in computing, which is driven by users rather than manufacturers. Large and technically complex users solve problems by themselves. They can solve problems because they have access to source code. As open source becomes more powerful and popular, we will benefit from being the largest open source company. As for ourselves, it is very important to establish and expand communication.

Q: How do you expand your cloud computing products? How will you compete with other companies, such as Amazon?

A: we regard ourselves as the weapons service provider of cloud computing. Amazon and IBM also use our technology. In reality, Amazon is our good partner. We won't win because we are wise, but because we have open source code. It is not my vision, but the vision of the world's largest data center operation camp.
