Article Title: Redhat enters twm graphics mode solution. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Includes basic categories such as desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, and open source.
Some software packages were installed and deleted yesterday. After the system was restarted, there was no gnome Desktop. The system directly entered the twm mode. I was not used to it. I did not know the reason and found some answers, the gnome Desktop was damaged, so I reinstalled the desktop environment.
# Yum remove gnome-desktop
# Yum install gnome *
# Switchdesk
Select gnome-desktop
OK, restart, and solve the problem.
This problem also gave me the command switchdesk to switch the desktop.
If you have multiple desktops and want to change the desktop environment, you only need to run switchdesk and restart the Xwindow service.
