1. Extract the rpm files from the RedHatEnterpriseLinux5.2iso image disk and install: fonts-chinese-3.02-12.el5.noarchfonts-ISO8859-2-75dpi-1.0-17.1.noarchm17n-db-chinese-1.3.3-48.el5.noarchm17n-db-common-cjk-1.3.3-48.e

1. Extract from the RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.2 iso image Disk

Install these rpm files:

Fonts-chinese-3.02-12.el5.noarch

Fonts-ISO8859-2-75dpi-1.0-17.1.noarch

M17n-db-chinese-1.3.3-48.el5.noarch

M17n-db-common-cjk-1.3.3-48.el5.noarch

2. Execute several commands

Mkfontscale

Mkfontdir // these two commands generate the font index information

Fc-cache // update the font cache

Fc-cache-fv

3. log out and then log on. Open IE
