The latest Ubuntu Tweak version 0.4.4 is officially released.
This version still carries many updates, including Metacity's compound special effects options, Nautilus scripts, thumbnail settings, and file type settings.
Metacity compound effect options
Metacity is the default window manager of Ubuntu, but Compiz is used by default to provide desktop compound effects.
If you do not like Compiz or cannot enable Compiz for hardware reasons, you can try a simple Metacity compound effect.
If Compiz is not enabled, you can simply check the options to enjoy simple and useful Metacity compound effects.
More useful daily scripts
Ubuntu Tweak adds more Nautilus scripts in this version to facilitate your daily use.
These include a series of Operating Files (mobile, copy, and link), as well as converting image formats.
File Type Management
By default, GNOME desktop does not provide a unified tool for modifying file type associations. Currently, Ubuntu Tweak provides such an interface.
By using audio, text, and video categories, you can change all the file types you need in one interface at a time.
File Manager thumbnail Modification
Do you often browse pictures on your computer?
If yes, do you know that all images will generate a thumbnail and save it on your computer? Open "~ /. Thumbnails/normal ", and you will find it.
By default, the file manager saves 180 MB of thumbnails, and the maximum number of days is days. The size is only 512 MB, because the thumbnails are usually very small. Even if the occupied space is only 50 MB, the number of files is already tens of thousands.
In most cases, disk performance will be affected, and personal privacy will also be exposed.
With the "thumbnail Settings" added by Ubuntu Tweak, you can control all this! You can also manually clear the thumbnail by clicking "Clear thumbnail cache!
The above are the main updates of Ubuntu Tweak 0.4.4, including Bug fixes and more third-party sources. We will not list them here.
