Selection is more important than effort
There is a very diligent young man who wants to be better than others in all aspects. After years of hard work, he still did not grow. He was very upset and asked the wise man for advice.
The wise man called the three disciples who were cutting firewood and said, "You have taken this donor to wulishan to take the firewood that you think is the most satisfactory ."
The young man and three disciples went straight to the Wuli mountains along the river in a rush.
When they return, the Wise Men greet them in the same place-the young man is sweating and panting with two bundles of firewood;
After the first of the two disciples, the former disciples carried 4 bundle of firewood on the left and right sides of the pole, and the later disciples followed easily.
At this moment, a raft was flying from the river, carrying the younger brother and eight bundles of firewood, and parked in front of the wise.
The young man and two first-come disciples look at me. I look at you, and you are silent. However, the younger apprentice who draw a raft is at ease with the wise man.
The wise man said, "Why are you not satisfied with your performance ?"
"Master, let's cut it down again ." The young man asked, "I cut 6 bundle at the beginning. I couldn't carry it until I reached half the path. I threw two bundle. Then I walked for a while, I couldn't breathe, but threw away the two bundles. Finally, I took them back. However, I have worked very hard, master ."
"I am the opposite of him ,"
The big disciple said, "At the beginning, we cut two bundles of wood and put the four bundles on the pole and followed the donor. I don't feel tired, but I feel a lot easier. Finally, I picked back the firewood discarded by the donor ."
The younger disciple of the raft took over his speech and said, "I am short and have little strength. Let alone two bundles. It is a bundle. I cannot pick up the path so far, I chose to take the waterway ......"
The wise man looked at his disciples with appreciation and gave a slight bow. Then he came to the young man and patted him on the shoulder. He said with great enthusiasm: "There is nothing wrong with a person going his own way, the key is how to do it. There is no error in letting others say it by taking their own path. The key is whether the path is correct. Young people, you must always remember that choice is more important than hard work ."
