Samba server shared optical drive-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. The following is a detailed description. We have discussed the configuration of the samba server. Here we will talk about the shared optical drive:
Vim/etc/samba/smb. conf
// Add the following line Content
[Cdrom]
Comment = cdrom's share
Path =/media/cdrom
Public = yes
Browseable = yes
Root preexec =/bin/mount-t iso9660/dev/hdc/media/cdrom
Root postexec =/bin/umount/media/cdrom
Note: root preexec indicates that the mount command is run as root during connection, while root postexec indicates that umount is run as root During disconnection, which can effectively share the optical drive.
Don't forget: service smb restart restarts the service !!
