A: For the first time, you only need to cut "/" and "Swap!

Well, we usually recommend that you install the Linux system with the largest sector "/" for the first time. This is a benefit, it is not afraid of segmentation errors that cause installation failure! For example,/usr/is the directory of Linux executable programs and related files, so his capacity requirement is quite large. In case you split a slice to/usr, but it is not big enough, so it hurts! The installation may fail because the data cannot be fully written! Therefore, if you are installing it for the first time, you can split it into two slices "/and Swap!

B: We recommend that you reserve a backup sector!

As mentioned in the previous articles, because the preset directories in Linux are fixed, we usually increase the directories of/var and/home slightly, if the hard disk is large enough, you cannot add a few GB! In addition,/usr should at least give him 3 ~ 5 GB, if the hard disk is really big! And/can also provide several GB space. Finally, because our Linux system may be in the "trial" stage, it is likely to be installed repeatedly. Therefore, laruence will reserve a sector to back up my core. scripts (a bit like a DOS batch file) that seems good in practice. Of course, you can also have a backup place under my/home, and the source file of the installation package can also be placed here! One of the biggest advantages is that when I reinstall Linux, some of my kits can be found directly on the hard disk! Haha! Reinstallation is convenient!

We do not recommend that you use the preset Server installation method provided by each distribution for the first time, because it will make you unable to know what Linux is doing, and it does not necessarily meet your needs! Note: When selecting Server, please "OK" your hard disk data is not required! Because Linux will automatically kill all the old data in your hard disk! In addition, the hard disk must be at least 2 GB to select this mode!
