[Silverlight] Bing Maps Learning Series 1: preparations before development

The Bing Maps map engine launched by Microsoft opens the Silverlight and Ajax client APIs to the outside. At the same time, Microsoft also released the Silverlight control of Bing Maps for global Maps, which was released based on Silverligt 3. Based on this control, This article briefly introduces the environment for developing Silverlight controls based on Bing Maps and other preparations.

 

Because Bing Maps Silverlight Control is released based on Silverlight 3, the development environment must be built on Silverlight 3, you also need to install Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and Microsoft Silverlight 3 Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1. In addition, Bing Maps Silverlight Control is the most important thing.

 

In addition to preparing the development environment, we also need to prepare a Key for Bing Maps development. With the development Key, you can develop Bing Maps-based functions based on Silverlight.
