Simple samba Configuration

Simple configuration of samba-Linux Enterprise Application-Linux server application information. For details, refer to the following section. Samba configurations are occasionally used. The following configuration method is suitable for temporary file sharing. Security issues have not been carefully considered.

First, share level, share/home/usr/share
Vi/etc/smb. conf
[Global] Section
Change security = share
Add a shared segment
[Share]
Path =/home/user/share
Public = yes
Browseable = yes
Netconf
Set Host Name

Service smb restart.

Second, user-level sharing:
[Global] Section
Change security = user
Cancel encrypt passwords = yes
Smb passwd file =/etc/smbpasswd
Annotations

Cat/etc/passwd | mksmbpasswd. sh>/etc/smbpasswd
Import the system account to the Samba account Library

Smbpasswd-U root
Set the password of the root user in smbuser, which is equivalent to the admin and administrator users.

Service smb restart.
Then, on a windows Device, follow the \ IP address \ share sharing steps. Use admin or administrator as the user name, and use the password you just set.

Of course, you can also set the root account to an empty password:
Procedure
Add null passwords = yes in [global]
Then execute smbpasswd-U root-n # Set the root password to null
