Simple security method for changing the login interface resolution of Ubuntu8.04

Ubuntu8.04 always selects the maximum resolution for display on the logon interface, which leads to incomplete display. This bug does not seem to have been modified, so you can only modify it by yourself. I went to the Forum and searched for it. It was all about modifying/etc/X11/xorg. conf, but some of them cannot be modified, and the logon interface is not displayed. This section describes how to modify the nvidia graphics card:

Search for female nvidia settings in the Software Package Manager and install it.

Then you must run nvidia settings with sudo

Enter sudo nvidia-settings in the terminal

Select item 2, and then select X screen in the right Tab

Click advanced in the lower-right corner, advanced settings, and select the appropriate resolution in metamode.

Then apply and save to x configuration file:

Try to unregister it. It should be OK.
