Windows network server Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 integrates ASP.net, improves diagnostics, introduces the new administrator user interface, configures the system, and sets up a series of new artifacts.
Microsoft IIS, Network platform and Tool development group project manager Bill Staples and product manager Mary Alice Colvin pointed out that While Microsoft's next-generation Web server IIS7.0 was launched in 2006 when Longhorn was released, many Web developers now can't wait to see what the specifics of IIS 7.0 are. In the interview, Staples and Colvin all said that the biggest improvement in IIS 7.0 was its component part. Users can turn on or off specific components of IIS at will to get or remove the corresponding functionality, which means that users can select one widget at a time to add a deletion when installing a network server.
IIS 7.0 6 Daxin Features:
* The modular network core allows users to add and remove specific features. If you want to use the service statistics widget, you need only a few modules (excluding ISAPI).
*) a unified standard HTTP pipeline that corresponds to the local administration application. Users can use a forms-based authentication system for classic ASP pages.
* Users can build their own ihttpmodule and ihttphandlers and plug them into a unified pipeline.
* The new Distributed XML Setup system, which utilizes the advantages of the ASP.net setup system.
* Improved diagnostics and problem-solving mechanisms, including new runtime status and tracking capabilities.
* A new scalable, task-oriented administrator user interface.
