Installation steps:
1, with the root user login.
2, insert the CD-ROM into the system's CD-ROM drive.
3. After loading the disc, install the packages using the Pkgadd command.
4, then there is a selection of a total of 10 available to you to choose from. The default state is all. You can choose according to your own needs.
(note: Require the appropriate patch to be installed before installation, install the appropriate vxvmi18n patch: Solaris 8 with 111903-01 (my system is 8), and if a VMSA Chinese pack is installed, you need to play 111905-01 patches. )
5, choose the end will be installed on their own. Choose Yes when you are prompted to have conflicting files installed.
6, install the time will encounter a need for the patch, this option is the patch is not installed (I did not install this installed after the normal use of Veritas) This patch seems to be 111413-02. (I don't remember very well, I'm sorry).
7, and then select Yes will be installed to complete.
8, installed, you can perform vxinstall. If the Chinese module is installed, the following 3 commands are also executed:
# VXCONFIGD Stop
#vxconfigd
#vxdctl Enable
