The solution that is not supported by the kernel noapic installed with ubuntu-general Linux technology-Linux programming and kernel information. For details, refer to the following. I cannot install many linux instances on my machine. These linux instances, including the ubuntu fcseries, cannot be installed. All these versions are installed after the kernel is installed and loaded, the hardware check is stopped without any reflection. The only thing you can do is to restart the system.

Cause: kernel panic-not syncing: IO-APIC + timer doesn't work! Boot with apic = debug and send a report. Then try booting with the 'noapi' option.

I guess it is caused by incompatibility between the kernel and the apic control chip on my motherboard. What should I do to install the ubuntu fcseries, I have consulted my motherboard manufacturer jijia to disable the apic function of the motherboard. The answer is no.

I am now using the Chinese-made Hua lei, which has the same problem during normal installation of Hua lei. Finally, I was able to successfully install it through the disabling apic installation mode of Hua lei. I think they should be aiming at this compatibility problem. In this installation option, the kernel's apic function is disabled.

My motherboard is a gigabyte M55S-S3, the chipset is the NF550 of NV, this problem seems to be the problem that NF550 chipset will encounter

Linux installation parameters

Due to hardware features, you may encounter such problems when installing Linux. You can select the following parameters:

Linux ide = nodma
Linux acpi = off
Linux i8042.nomux
Linux acpi = off apm = off
Linux nofb

Good reputation

Acpi: Advanced Power Supply Interface

If not, add acpi = off. If the hard disk starts iso, try to add clock = pit nosmp noapic nolapic to the kernel in boot/grub/menu. lst.

For example

Kernel/vmlinuz-2.4.20-28.9 ro root =/dev/hda2

Change to this kernel/vmlinuz-2.4.20-28.9 ro root =/dev/hda2 clock = pit nosmp noapic nolapic

Let's see how it works. Should we add kernel = clock = pit nosmp noapic nolapic directly after the boot character?
