Recently I have been studying the kernel and driver. I want to build a kernel tree. In the afternoon, I tried to compile the kernel. who knows:
System: RHEL6.0, GCC don't remember, it seems to be a GCC-4.4.4, download the latest stable kernel version: Linux-2.6.38.4
I put the Linux-2.6.38.4 under the/usr/src Directory, enter the/usr/src/linux-2.6.38.4 Directory, run make menuconfig, and exit without saving anything. config; then make bzImage, compile it for more than 10 minutes, and suddenly shut down, like a power outage, instantly shut down. I am dumb .....
Check the hard disk space since it was stopped? OK! Blow another fan to the host. I will try again. The result is a tragedy... the problem is still like that. it gave me an instant shutdown.
