Linux eth1 Nic cannot be activated. Solution: linux eth1 Nic cannot be activated. how can this problem be solved? Www.2cto.com our lab has a dedicated server for Internet management, which has eth0 and eth1 Nics. after you open "manage"-"network", you will find that both ppp0 and eth0 NICs are active, the eht1 Nic cannot be activated. of course, you can click the activation button above or activate it through the command line ifconfig eth1 up. However, the two methods fail to activate the NIC. The result is that although the server can access the Internet, the computer in the lab cannot access the network. After my painstaking research, I finally found a solution. The steps are as follows: (1) enable the configuration of eth1 and record its attribute information, especially "associate MAC" in the "hardware device" option (of course it can be detected) (2) delete the active device eth1. (3) Create a new device named eth1. the properties in the device must be the same as those just deleted. In particular, MAC (4) activates this device. Try again whether the internal network can access the Internet. (5) if all devices are activated and cannot access the Internet, restart the dhcp service on the server and run the service dhcpd restart command.
