Article Title: solve the problem that hard disks cannot be automatically attached to ubuntu. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Includes basic categories such as desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, and open source.
When I was using LINUX today, I found that one of my GB hard disks could not be automatically mounted.
The pop-up information is as follows:
$ LogFile indicates unclean shutdown (0, 0)
Failed to mount '/dev/sdb1': operation not supported
Mount is denied because NTFS is marked to be in use. Choose one action:
Choice 1: If you have Windows then disconnect the external devices
Clicking on the 'safety Remove Hardware 'icon in the Windows
Taskbar then shutdown Windows cleanly.
Choice 2: If you don't have Windows then you can use the 'force' option
Your own responsibility. For example type on the command line:
Mount-t ntfs-3g/dev/sdb1/media/sdb8-o force
Or add the option to the relevant row in the/etc/fstab file:
/Dev/sdb1/media/sdb8 ntfs-3g force 0 0
Probably the error message is that the mounting fails.
Here, UBUNTU provides two solutions. The first solution is to disable the hardware by using the "safely remove Hardware" tool of WINDOWS.
Another type is forced mounting.
This method is used.
First, if you have not set up a mount point, you should first
Sudo mkdir/media/sdb8
It doesn't matter how many numbers are highlighted in red letters.
Then manually Mount
Before proceeding to this step, check whether your system has a NTFS-3G. Once again, all versions above 7.10 should have, if not.
Sudo apt-get install ntfs-3g
Next Mount
Sudo mount-t ntfs-3g/dev/sdb1/media/sdb8-o force
In this way, the manual mounting is successful.
