I just installed Ubuntu, but the Chinese characters in the text document are garbled. After Google, I finally solved the Chinese character garbled problem. Now I will post the solution to share with you. If anyone has a better solution, please kindly advise. Ctrl + Alt + T open the command line window, enter "gconf-editor" and execute apps-& gt; gedit-2-& gt; preferences-& gt; in the Open configuration editor; encodings, In the auto_detected and shown_in on the right

Ctrl + Alt + T open the command line window, enter "gconf-editor", execute apps-> gedit-2-> preferences-> encodings in the Open configuration editor, right-click auto_detected and shown_in_menu on the right, click Edit, add GBK, and move it to the first place. After the feature is disabled, the text document can display Chinese characters normally.
