Solve the Problem of garbled characters in some Chinese characters of evince-Debian information of Linux release technology. The following is a detailed description. I don't know when to upgrade evince. As a result, the current evince cannot view some Chinese pdf files (the current version is 2.20.2-1, fortunately, someone has solved this problem step by step. In ubuntu 7.10, evince can view pdf Chinese garbled characters.
Although my environment is debian, it does not prevent me from solving the problem. ubuntu is also out of debian, and this problem is related to xpdf and evince.
Now, assuming that you have installed xpdf-chinese-simplified, and most of the chinese characters can be displayed normally, for some, you need poppler encoding data, download the latest version 0.2 and refer to README for installation.
