Symfony installation and configuration method, Symfony configuration method
This article describes the installation and configuration methods of Symfony. Share to everyone for your reference, as follows:
The manual installation of symfony is very simple and there is hardly much to say. Open Http://symfony.com/download, select a symfony release from the page's selection list, and then click Next to "Download Now" to extract the downloaded package to a location on your WEB server, even if it's done. (It is usually best to choose the one with the highest version number, tgz format or zip format is just a matter of personal preference, each version of Symfony also has a "without vendor" version, but the beginner stage is best not to choose to download this version. )
Installing Symfony with composer
Symfony has a good partner called composer, below we see how to use composer to install Symfony.
Get composer
As mentioned earlier, composer is a Phar, can execute PHP code package (PHP ARchive), is a cool thing, if you are interested, https://getcomposer.org/have more information about composer.
On the *nix system, you can run the following command to install composer automatically:
Curl-ss Https://getcomposer.org/installer | Php
Composer's installation program will do some checking on the system environment, and give some suggestions for configuration modification, if possible, try to follow its instructions. When everything is ready, you can use composer to install Symfony. Run the following command:
PHP Composer.phar create-project symfony/framework-standard-edition/path/to/webroot/symfony 2.3.1
The/path/to/webroot/symfony in the above command is the path you want Symfony to be installed on, and 2.3.1 is the version number. When you see this article, this number is probably not the latest Symfony version, you can go to the Http://symfony.com/download page to get the latest version number, and then replace it.
Whether you are installing manually or using composer, you can finally see the file structure of your project in the installation directory of your choice.
If you are using an Apache Web server and assume that Symfony is located under the Symfony directory in the root directory, you can see the Symfony installation Success screen using the following URL.
http://localhost/Symfony/web/app_dev.php
If you use Nginx, you may need more configuration work, and further articles will be introduced later.
