Definition of one product and multiple codes
A product has multiple bar codes.
Cause
This usually occurs in:
L different product tastes
L new and old packages coexist for a period of time
L one thing appears in different production areas or sales areas
L The same barcode is used for packaging the same product size
Example
For example, Cola is produced in Guangdong and in Taiyuan due to market division or other sales areas, there will be two types of bar code,
Note:
This problem is not simply to treat them as two or more commodities. For example, giving them two material codes will lead to difficulties in inventory check after sales, this is the same thing, but it needs to be managed separately.
The ideal solution is that these codes can be used during the acceptance of the sales warehouse, and there is always only one item in the books of the software.
Introduction to multi-level unit technology for mstar Software
The mstar system supports multi-pole unit technology and can define more large units for the minimum unit of goods. These large units have their own conversion relationships for small units and their own independent bar codes, in this way, you can use these large units when entering business documents.
Example
Bottle box transfer refers to a kind of discount provided by the store for customers, that is, when the customer buys goods in box, the store can be sold according to the price defined in the bottle box transfer.
Product multi-code implementation function: bottle transfer box
For example, the basic bar code of a bottle is A, and the bar code of a box is B.
There are 10 items A in B. When the front-end uses a box for consumption, the bar code is B, and the corresponding back-end inventory will be reduced by 10 items based on the reference factor, the Unit for reduction is the small part unit (basic unit A), Unit B is a multi-level unit, and the multi-level unit must be set in the system

You can set the maximum number of large units for each item. The default value is 20.
Reference factor settings
Set the reference factor path

Click Edit to set the reference factor and price, and the corresponding bar code. The inventory is reduced based on this reference factor.
Tips for handling multiple product codes
We can do this by defining multiple large units. They have their own bar codes, and their conversion relationships (reference factors) are all 1. The mstar system is allowed, in this way, the system can use these codes as documents (including POS front-end and back-end), and the inventory books only have one type of goods.
Advantages
A product can contain any number of bar codes at the same time. The prices and meanings of bar codes are the same, so that you can check and query the books. The software operation is simple and convenient and can be directly modified, in the future, if you do not want to set more than one item, you can delete it directly.
Important Notes
It is enough to deal with a common product with multiple codes. If the barcode of a large unit is the same, special processing is required. Print the shop code of the mall to paste it on the surface of a large product, avoid this item being mistaken for a small item by the POs device.
