According to foreign media reports, a report released by media service company zenitemeditimedia recently showed that the Internet will surpass broadcast in 2008 and become the fourth largest advertising media in the world.
According to the report, in 2006, the amount of internet advertisement sales increased from $2005 in 18.7 billion to $24.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 33%. This year, global internet advertising spending is expected to increase by 28.2%. Based on this increase, the Internet will surpass broadcast next year and become the fourth largest advertising media in the world.
By 2009, Internet advertising overhead will account for 9% of all advertising overhead, and will reach more than 2010 after 10%. Currently, Internet advertising overhead in Norway, Sweden, and the UK is more than 10% of all advertising overhead in the country.
By 2009, the proportion of Internet advertising overhead in the United States, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Israel, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan will also exceed 10%.
