He said that with the popularization of the "X-Internet" network, 2020 devices will be connected to the Internet by more than 14 billion, and currently only 1 billion devices will be connected to the Internet. "In the future world of 'X-internet', RFID technology will be widely used. At the same time, RFID technology will become the first wave of development in the world of X-world ."
For the controversial mobile phone communication field in the future, Colony talked about his views. He said that in the future, mobile phones will become an indispensable device in the "X-Internet" world. "Qualcomm believes that in the future, everything will be done on mobile phones, however, the mobile phone industry is not included in the next 12 industries that drive family digitalization."
Speaking of the multimedia functions of mobile phones, Colony points out that the video-on-the-go service, which is currently favored by mobile communication, is far from accepted by people, "In the future, Digital Multimedia Broadcasting will certainly develop, but it is limited to many applications, such as small screens on mobile phones. It is not the best choice for watching movies."
Previously, Irwin Jacob, chairman of mobile chip manufacturer Qualcomm, said at a press conference held at the forum that "mobile phones are winning the market at an unprecedented speed, in the future, this trend will also increase. Both the screen size, network, and additional functions have a wide range of options, and we can foresee that, in the future, mobile phones will also provide more powerful computing functions."
Colony said that compared with mobile phones, personal computers have more advantages in this regard. The development of personal computers will drive three industries: cable companies, PC manufacturers, and game manufacturers. These three industries will be the main competitors of digital household consumption in the future.
