Ubuntu for Android is such a software that enables your Android phone to become a PC when connected to an external monitor. This is actually an old Canonical project. They had this idea a long time ago. This project was earlier than Ubuntu Edge, or even later than Ubuntu Touch. But today, we have only seen the tip of the iceberg of Ubuntu for Android, most of which are from the Ubuntu Edge project.
If Ubuntu Edge fails, Will Ubuntu for Android be released? Alex Chiang, a Canonical engineer, replied directly: "I really don't know. We are still discussing this issue internally ."
This answer shows that there is no mature development and release plan for Ubuntu for Android in Canonical. Industry analysts believe that if Ubuntu Edge cannot be successful, the subsequent Ubuntu for Android software may not meet the world.
