The role of the Gateway:
Provides conversion between traditional voice communication and IP-based OCS media/signaling
OCS media gateway type:
Basic Media Gateway-the OCS system must be connected together with the OCS Mediation Server;

Advanced media gateway-provides basic media gateway and intermediary server functions and can be directly connected to the OCS system;

Integrated media gateway-install media gateway card software and hardware on an intermediary server to achieve integration;
Interface Type Between gateway and telecom:


Analog line interface-suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises;

Digital relay interface (30B + D)-suitable for large and medium-sized enterprises to access PBX;
