Ubuntu developer Kees Cook submitted a bug report to bugzilla of Fedora, which aroused the suspicion of others: "What are your motivations for doing this?" Cook responded on his blog that he first encountered a problem caused by the bug when compiling the Ubuntu Karmic system. He submitted the bug to Ubuntu and thought the bug may be an upstream bug. As a free software developer, he thinks he has the responsibility to reflect the problem. There is no motive behind this.
