The JavaScript date.getyear () method returns the year of the specified date according to the Universal Time. GetYear is no longer in use and has been replaced with the getFullYear method.

The value returned by GetYear is the current year minus 1900 (in JavaScript1.2) and a return or 2-bit or 4-digit year, for example, if the year is 2026, the return value is 2026. Before you test this function, ensure the version of JavaScript.
