Thoughts on ubuntu

For some ideas about ubuntu-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application information, see the following for details. Today I saw the Unique article "how popular is Ubuntu ?" I have some thoughts.

Is ubuntu really easy to use? Is it free? Does it provide good support for hardware? And so on.

I think ubuntu does not provide good hardware support because it does not support APIC (advanced program Interrupt Controller). Do not make a mistake. ACPI (Advanced Power Management ), the two are different. My motherboard BIOS only has one ACPI. Do you want me to disable it every time? Fortunately, I can use ubuntu7.04 without disabling ACPI. Other versions won't work. I have installed many linux versions myself and feel that it is not practical. It seems that I want to learn LFS.

Installing the linux release is a big problem. Doesn't it mean it can be small? It is larger than XP.
