Tips for disabling IE6 and IE7_javascript using javascript

Source: Internet
Author: User
When the browser is closed through javascript, the system's default prompt box is displayed, prompting you whether to close the browser. This can be solved through javascript, but IE6, the solution for IE7 is different. Please refer to the following code.

The Code is as follows:

If (ieVersion = "6.0 ")
{
Window. opener = null;
Window. close ();
}
Else if (ieVersion = "7.0 ")
{
Window. open ('', '_ parent ','');
Window. close ();
}

Note that in IE7, if you want to close the entire browser, window. open ('', '_ parent',''); the first parameter should be changed to '_ self', and '_ parent' closes a single tab page.
