After installing Windows SP2, some friends found that the webpage images could not be displayed normally, the website verification code could not be seen, the download speed of the btsoftware slowed down, and the real-time communication software could not be accessed. The reason for this problem is that the starting point of SP2 is too high and there are too many changes to the system. The reason is that we are not familiar with the new thing of SP2. Now let's go closer to SP2 again, focusing on analyzing common system faults that may be caused by SP2, and taking the right remedy to the problem so that SP2 will not become a stumbling block to our system.

This fault occurs when McAfee VirusScan cannot be upgraded online after SP2 is installed.

From the perspective of system security, SP2 has strict management of various components and has low permissions. McAfee VirusScan is one of them. Because of its insufficient permissions, online upgrades may fail.

To cope with this "stumbling block", click "start", "set" Control Panel "," Administrative Tools ", and" component service "to open the" component service "window. Expand the "console root directory" "component service" "computer" "My Computer" "DOCM configuration" "FrameworkService" option, right-click it, and bring up the Properties window. Click the "Security" tab and select "Custom" in the "launch and activation permissions" column. Click "edit". In the "launch permission" dialog box that appears, click "add" to add your Logon account and System account, and "allow" it to have "Local startup" and "Local activation" permissions. As shown in 1, click "OK.

This fault occurs when you use IE to browse the Web page. When an HTML Web page containing images is opened, an ActiveX error message is displayed, and the image cannot be properly displayed. The reason is that, by default, SP2 disables ActiveX, java, and other controls to prevent computer attacks, in this way, webpages containing ActiveX, java, and other controls cannot be browsed normally, and images cannot be displayed normally. You can use the following methods to solve this problem: Open the Notepad program and enter the following content: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 (a blank line here) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftInternetExplorerMainFeature-ControlFEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN @ = "" "Iexplore.exe" = dword: 00000000 "Assumer.exe" = dword: 00000000 Note that the preceding two keys are disabled when they are set to 1, and the ActiveX, java, and other controls are disabled when they are set to 0. After the input is complete, save it as "ShowPicture. reg" and set the file name. The extension must be REG. Double-click it and import it to the Registry.
Before installing SP2, we can adjust the security level of the Internet domain at will. However, after installing SP2, you will find that the security level of the Internet is locked to the intermediate level, when we try to adjust the security level, an "error" Warning box is displayed, as shown in Figure 2. We cannot adjust the security level according to the actual needs of each person. This problem occurs mainly because SP2 locks the security level of the Internet for security reasons, and users are not allowed to adjust it by default. To solve this problem, you can click Start and run. In the displayed run dialog box, enter REGEDIT and press enter to open the Registry Editor. Expand the following branches in sequence: [HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersion InternetSettingsones3]. In the right-side window, find the Dword Value "MinLevel" and double-click it. In the displayed edit dialog box, set the value to "10000" (hexadecimal) click "OK" and close the registry editor. Press F5 to refresh and try again to see if the security level can be adjusted as needed. The culprit of this problem is the DEP Data Execution Prevention Technology. The DEP (Date Execution Prevention) technology is mainly designed to effectively avoid the buffer overflow problem, it can effectively prevent viruses or malicious programs from storing and running harmful code in computer protected memory locations. DEP will mark some common memory locations as "unexecutable ", this prevents viruses or malicious code from surviving, but it also causes some programs to fail to run normally.

You can manually configure a program to prevent the program from being detected by DEP to avoid compatibility issues caused by DEP. The method is as follows:

On the html "target = _ blank> desktop, right-click my computer and choose" properties "from the shortcut menu ". In the displayed "System Properties" window, click the "advanced" tab, and then click "set" in the "performance" column. In the pop-up "performance options" dialog box, click the "Data Execution Protection" tab and select "Run DEP for all programs and services except the following selected programs", as shown in 3, then, click the "add" button to add the programs you need.

There are still many programs that have compatibility issues with SP2. I will not list them here. If you are interested, refer to "Http: // support.microsoft.com /? Technical documentation on id = 884130.

Nowadays, few people who use the Internet do not need to use BT to download software. The btsoftware gives us a pleasant download experience and an alternative way to share resources. However, after SP2 is installed, the download speed suddenly slows down, and the problem cannot be solved by uninstalling and reinstalling the btsoftware.

This problem is caused by the built-in OOB Messages dynamic link library in SP2 to effectively prevent the multi-thread attacks of worms such as shock waves and shock waves, the dynamic link library monitors the number of concurrent threads of each process in real time. As long as it exceeds the number of secure threads (10) It considers, it starts to block some threads to reduce the number of threads.

To solve this problem, you must modify the "TCPIP" in the "E: WINDOWSServicePackFilesi386" directory. sys ", but manual modification is troublesome. Now you have already installed patches for us. You only need to download and install the patches (you can download them at http://www.pcpro.com.cn/club/download/index.php on the PC website ). After the download is complete, run the program in the command line. When you ask, answer "Y", then exit the command line and restart the computer.
