A wireless router can provide wired and wireless networks for terminals such as computers, mobile phones, and tablets. After a router connects to a broadband line, all terminals can access the Internet through the router. You can click the video guide to set up the Internet access:
This article describes in detail how to set up TL-WDR8600 to access the Internet.
Connect the network cable or broadband network cable from the cat (or optical cat) to the WAN port of the router, and connect the computer to any LAN port of vro 1/2/3/4, as shown in the figure below:
Note:: For detailed connection methods of the home line, see: router line connection guide.
The default wireless signal of the router is
TP-LINK_XXXXAnd no password. If you use a laptop, mobile phone, or other wireless terminal to set up a router, connect to the signal and follow the next steps.
After connecting the line, make sure that the corresponding interface indicator is always on or flashing. After the network cable is connected, the corresponding port indicator is not on?

Set vro
TL-WDR8600 supports mobile APP management, please scan the QR code to download the APP, and follow the instructions below to operate.
Note:: When you log on to the APP for the first time, the mobile phone must connect to the wireless signal of the vro.
Open your browser, clear the address bar, and enter the management address tplogin.cn of the vro. In the displayed settings management password interface, Set 6 ~ 15-bit password management, click
OKLog on to the vro management page.
Note:Remember the configured management password for subsequent vro management.

The vro automatically checks the Internet access mode.
Broadband dial-up Internet accessIn the corresponding setting box, enter the broadband account and password provided by the carrier, and confirm that the account and password are entered correctly. Click
Next Step.
Note:76% of users cannot access the Internet due to incorrect broadband account password. Please carefully check whether the entered broadband account password is correct. Make sure that both Chinese and English characters are entered, uppercase and lowercase letters, and suffixes are complete. If you are not sure, contact the broadband carrier.

TP-LINK ID is used to connect the router to the ECS, online upgrade, application installation, remote management and other functions of the management ID. Select

TP-LINK ID. You can also click

Note:After the router successfully connects to the network, the interface prompts to create a TP-LINK ID. If the interface does not prompt to create a TP-LINK ID, indicating that the router WAN port has not been dial-up successful, please click reference: After setting up unable to access the Internet?
Create with your phone number or mailbox, and set the login password for the TP-LINK ID, click
OK, As shown in the following figure:
Once created, the TP-LINK ID is automatically successfully logged on.
Now, the vro settings are complete. After the computer connects to the vro, you can directly access the Internet on the webpage,

Can the signal names be the same?
Answer:: If you set the same wireless signal name, your terminal can only find one wireless signal, and the signal list cannot tell whether the signal is 2G or 5G. Therefore, we recommend that you set different signal names.
