Tomcat cannot automatically compile JSP files.

Today, I encountered a very strange problem. The machine environment is JDK 8 and tomcat 8. After downloading jQuery MiniUI (for Java Eclipse) and importing it to Eclipse, the home page can be displayed, however, an error occurred while running the database operation page. Create a simple jsp page under the project and the page cannot be run. The following error message is displayed:

Org. apache. jasper. JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP, which means the jsp file cannot be compiled.

I also found a solution on the internet, tried it multiple times, and finally solved the problem.

To delete the WEB-INF under the WebContent \ servlet-api.jar \ lib directory of the jQuery MiniUI (for Java Eclipse) project, restart Tomcat8.

The reason should be that jQuery MiniUI (for Java Eclipse) development is used in the lower version of Tomcat, the project lib under the servlet-api.jar file and the new version of the incompatible.
