I tried Ubuntu6 for the purpose of studying Linux and have kept a virtual image for the simple server version so far. I heard that Ubuntu8.04 will release the official version on July 22, April 24. It is worth looking forward to. I downloaded Ubuntu8.04RC and installed it yesterday, ubuntu and later versions support installation in the windows system like a common program. When you restart the system, you can choose to start Ubuntu independently. However, due to my previous data loss experience, I chose vmware as the Installation Platform with caution.

I have tried Ubuntu 6 for the purpose of studying Linux and have kept a virtual image of the simple server version so far. I heard that Ubuntu 8.04 will release the official version on April 6, April 24, which is worth looking forward, yesterday, I downloaded Ubuntu 8.04 RC and installed it. Ubuntu 8.04 and later versions support the same installation as normal programs in windows. When you restart the system, you can choose Ubuntu to start it independently. However, due to my previous data loss experience, I chose vmware as the Installation Platform with caution. The installation process is simple, but the process of downloading the Language Pack is a little slow. Ubuntu comes with openOffice, firefox and other common software, the interface is also very beautiful, if the video card can, you can open some desktop effects, a little dazzling, of course, for users who are used to windows, I still have a lot of inconveniences when using Ubuntu for the first time. I personally feel that the response speed of the program is not satisfactory. Of course, it may be my configuration problem.

If our intellectual property rights are relatively strict, Ubuntu can be a good replacement for windows. Every time we see the idea that there is no software piracy industry, there is no such argument as China's IT industry, we feel angry and funny. Apart from piracy, we still have a lot of choices. The opportunity to learn and make progress is not due to piracy. The domestic software industry is known as a hard nut to crack, who is it? It's definitely not because the Chinese are stupid. An industry that has no interests due to piracy cannot develop with a charity mentality. Kingsoft has been around for so many years, in the end, I still rely on the development of online games. Why is the development of online games in China fast? Because it will not be pirated, and the impact of private servers is limited, the state's attitude towards private servers is also very clear. If other industries are not so lucky, we should do software services, outsource services in Europe, America, and Japan, with a low technical level, and make a small profit in the chain of interests, I don't know when to see the proud Chinese software.
