2. What are the situations where X Windows cannot work normally ??

A:

1. when the bootloader mounts the kernel, it will mount the/file system, rc. when sysinit is executed, it will mount a/file system. The first time it is read-only, and the second time it is mounted according to the rules of the/etc/fstab file, only these two locations are mounted to the/File System at startup!

At startup, the kernel starts and configures the init process according to the/etc/inittab file. in RedHat,/etc/rc is called. d/rc scripts are used to determine how to start the runlevel during startup. Usually, init =? And so on. This depends on experience!

2. There are many reasons why X cannot be started. Currently, this is common:

(1) No X or any WM (window master) is installed)

(2) xfs font server not enabled

(3) The WM is not selected correctly.

(4) The/etc/X11/XF86Config is not correctly configured.

(5)/tmp directory or ~ The directory does not have enough space to write X temporary files.
