Ubuntu ADSL Dial-up Internet

has been in the home to connect ADSL wireless WiFi Internet, recently used for a long time Netgear wireless router was destroyed by me, had to temporarily use wired.
ADSL dial-up can also be used directly under Ubuntu Linux.

1. Connecting Equipment

This is not much to say, is generally connected to the door service. Telephone line connected to ADSL cat ADSL port, the computer connected to any LAN port.

2. Edit Connection

Mouse click the Network connection icon in the taskbar tray, edit the connection, open the Network Connections dialog box

3. New DSL Connection

Enter the user name and password assigned by Unicom, and press "save".

4. Dialing

Mouse click on the taskbar tray area network connection icon->DSL Connect 2, wait a moment, if the dial is successful, then display the connection success information. Open the browser and you can surf the Internet.

The above settings are tested on Ubuntu 12.04.
