I just installed Ubuntu12.04. After a few days, I found that the touchpad failed. How did I deal with this disobedient Ubuntu? I never met it before, this reminds me that I shut down the touchpad with Fn + F7 a few days ago, but I didn't expect it to happen. This is a bit of an impulse to reinstall it. Fortunately, I finally found a solution today. 1. Enter the following code on the terminal: sudomodprobe-rpsmousesudomodprobepsmouse: Reload the corresponding module. (This is not applicable to me)

1. Enter the following code on the terminal:
Sudo modprobe-r psmouse
Sudo modprobe psmouse
After the corresponding module is reloaded, it will take effect (for me)
2. It may be that the touchpad is closed before it is shut down. In this case, enable the touchpad first, and then restart the system touchpad to resume work.
Enter the following code on the terminal:
Sudo modprobe-r psmouse
Sudo modprobe psmouse proto = imps
Effective
Sudo gedit/etc/modprobe. d/options
Add options psmouse proto = imps
Save changes and restart.
