Ubuntu 10.10pdf (evince) Reader garbled: Step 1: Install the sudoapt-getinstallxpdf-chinese-simplifiedxpdf-chinese-traditional (ubuntu10.10 does not require this step) online. Step 2, after installation, open the pdf file. If the file is still garbled, install poppler-data: Starting from 8.04

Step 1: Install the Chinese language support package online

Sudo apt-get install xpdf-chinese-simplified xpdf-chinese-traditional (ubuntu 10.10 does not require this step)

Step 2: Open the pdf file after installation. If the file is still garbled, install poppler-data: Starting from 8.04, The poppler-data installation package is supported in the source. You can directly enter the command

Sudo apt-get install poppler-data

Step 3: Open the pdf document and find that Chinese garbled characters have become blocks after the installation is completed in the previous step. Proceed to Step 3 and delete the font (Key, otherwise it is still garbled)

Sudo mv/etc/fonts/conf. d/49-sansserif.conf/etc/fonts/conf. d/49-sansserif.conf.bak

Open the pdf document and find that the Chinese font is properly displayed. Now, the problem is solved.
