I am bored, and I prefer to envy Ubuntu's 3D desktop, so I plan to install it for fun.
I am using the hard disk installation method. Now I want to write out some problems I encountered during the installation process ......
Only the problems encountered:
1. Run the following command on the terminal: sudo umount-l/isodevice to unmount the drive where the disc is located. Otherwise, no partition is found on the partition page. If you forget it for the first time, you will not be able to install it until half the time. restart the system, enter sudo umount-l/isodevice, press enter, reinstall, and solve the problem.
2. After the installation is complete, the system will experience high-frequency boot and shutdown! Google knows this is a resolution problem. solution:
(1) modify the/etc/default/grub file and start it using the framebuffer of uvesafb:
Code: terminal input: sudo gedit/etc/default/grub
Put the following two rows
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT = "quiet splash" # GRUB_GFXMODE = 640 × 480 changed:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT = "quiet splash nomodeset video = uvesafb: mode_option = 1440x900-24, mtrr = 3, scroll = ywrap" GRUB_GFXMODE = 1440x900
(2) modify the/etc/initramfs-tools/modules file,
Code: Enter sudo gedit/etc/initramfs-tools/modules to add the following line:
Uvesafb mode_option = 1440x900-24 mtrr = 3 scroll = ywrap
(3) run the following command to enable framebuffer:
Echo FRAMEBUFFER = y | sudo tee/etc/initramfs-tools/conf. d/splash
(4) run the following command to update the grub configuration file:
Code: sudo update-grub2
Sudo update-initramfs-u
(5). Restart.
Note: It is possible that it will not work after the first restart, And you can restart it again.
3. Retrieve previous win7
Sudo update-grub
In fact, after you run these two sentences, win7 has recovered ......
Sudo update-grub2
Sudo update-initramfs-u
Note: The installation files (vmlinuz,initrd.lz,grldr,grldr.mbr,grub.exe, menu. lst, boot. ini, ubuntu. iso) are all moved to the recycle bin. In particular, if the ISO file is not deleted, restart to enter win7 and then enter the Ubuntu installation interface.
