Ubuntu 15.10 has been released for some time, and the next version of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS has been put on the agenda. Reports from foreign Linux blog websites: ubuntu 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus is currently based on the Kernel 4.2 Kernel, which is the default Kernel of Ubuntu 15.10, but Canonical has announced that the final version of Ubuntu Xenial will adopt the Kernel 4.4 Kernel.

Kernel 4.4 RC2 candidate version has been added to a major branch version in Ubuntu 16.04 development version.

The good news is that Ubuntu 16.04 LTS will use Kernel 4.4, Ubuntu 16.04 is a long-term support version, which will be released in March according to schedule.
