Ubuntu9.10 + users install Medibuntu

We mentioned installing "Medibuntu" in "20 things to be done after Ubuntu installation ". Medibuntu is not included in Ubuntu for copyright reasons, but we have to use Medibuntu to play some media files. Now we will introduce how to install Medibuntu in Ubuntu11.04. We mentioned installing "Medibuntu" in "20 things to be done after Ubuntu installation ". Medibuntu is not included in Ubuntu for copyright reasons, but we have to use Medibuntu to play some media files. Now we will introduce how to install Medibuntu in Ubuntu 11.04.

The following method applies to Ubuntu 9.10 + and later versions, including Ubuntu 11.04.

#1. Use the command line to install Medibuntu

Open the terminal and enter the following command:

Sudo wget -- output-document =/etc/apt/sources. list. d/medibuntu. list http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/$ (lsb_release-cs). list &&
Sudo apt-get -- quiet update & sudo apt-get -- yes -- quiet -- allow-unauthenticated install medibuntu-keyring & sudo apt-get -- quiet update

Note: the disabled Medibuntu library is released by upgrading to an updated Ubuntu. Therefore, you should upgrade the Library and run the command again.

You can install the software package below:

Sudo apt-get install app-install-data-medibuntu apport-hooks-medibuntu

The first app-install-data-medibuntu will install many applications from the Ubuntu Software Center;
The second one will ask the user to report related crash program information.

 

#2. Install Medibuntu graphically on Ubuntu 11.04

This is a little troublesome. Come on.

@ 1: Download the GPG key.

@ 2 open "Ubuntu Software Center" --- "edit -- software source -- authentication -- import key file ".

@ 3. Next, go to "other software"> "add" the software source.

Add the following after the pop-up APT line:

Deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/natty free non-free

@ 4. Now, you can see the Medibuntu list in the left column of the Ubuntu Software Center!
