Canonical keeps updating the Ubuntu Touch operating system, and if everything goes well, the OTA-5 upgrade will be released on July 15 (today ).

Recently, developers announced that the text message application has been enhanced, and MTP support has been implemented to send text messages (Group messages) to multiple users.

Other OTA-5 features:

• A LibreOffice Viewer App for Ubuntu Touch is already in the works
• The Sudoku and Terminal apps have been updated
• Support for Media-Hub background playlist got implemented in the Music app
• The Calendar app UI has been improved
• Support for WPA-Enterprize in the network indicator and system settings has been added
• Full shell rotation support will be implemented.
• Push notifications for web apps are under works right now
• Better battery life for the Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition

We also tell you that Ubuntu Touch is already a stable operating system, but it is not mature enough compared with Android and iOS. Currently, there are three Ubuntu mobile phones: BQ aquaris E5 HD, BQ aquaris E4.5, meizu MX4, and LG Nexus 4.
