NIC: D-LINK DRE-530TX (two, just bought)
Basic System installation:
Download the first ISO 4.0 etch from debian.org and burn it to a CD.
1. Only the basic system is installed during installation. The installation process is omitted.
2. Install VIM and use it later :)
Apt-get install vim
3. Configure the NIC
# Vi/etc/network/interfaces
Change the configuration to: (the company uses Telecom fixed IP fiber optic)
Auto lo
Iface lo inet loopback
