First, install fcitx. We recommend that you install Versions later than version 3.4 (it seems that this product is not developed, and I can't even go to his official website ). The installation is relatively simple. Just execute the command in his README file. But the problem arises. You will find that you will not be able to log on to the Gnome Desktop again after exiting. But the problem arises. You will find that you will not be able to log on to the Gnome Desktop again after exiting. I checked the online statement that the login speed was slow. I thought the login failed after waiting for 5 minutes. This is a bug-Helpless. Use it together.

Solution: log on to the system using kde, run/usr/bin/gnome-session-properties, jump out of a "session", find the "Startup Program" on the third page, and click "edit ", change the "order" of the command fcitx to 50. Restart and Gnome is ready.

But you will find that this software is useless at all. Press and hold the shortcut key Ctrl + Space, and nothing goes out (a normal person will complain about this software ). You can use this feature only when you select Chinese Language settings during login. If you have to use an English environment, you must make some modifications.

My approach is:

1. Add the environment variable XMODIFIERS. Modify/etc/profile and add

XMODIFIERS = "@ im = fcitx"

Export XMODIFIERS

2. directory switch to/etc/gtk-2.0/i386-RedHat-linux-gnu, modify gtk. in the immodules file, change "ko: ja: th: zh" to "en: ko: ja: th: zh" and then log out.

Now, this thing can be used.

Note that if you are using remote access software such as x-manager, use ctrl + shift + space to call the input method.
