The announcement from the official space of Windows Live Hotmail indicates that the existing Windows Live Hotmail Plus user has opened the POP3/SMTP feature, which is open to everyone's request. Hotmail in addition to a short period of time to provide the POP3 function (some of these old users are still likely to enjoy the POP3 function) will no longer provide a wide range of POP3 services, and now, it came back, this can not help but say that the free market competition for everyone to bring one of the benefits.
It is important to note that Microsoft currently offers this service only to Hotmail plus users, while free users and premium users may be able to enjoy it in the near future, although we cannot anticipate the exact time it will come.
If you are a Hotmail plus user, you can use the client pop for your email only with the following simple settings:
POP:pop3.live.com (Port 995) (You need to select "This server needs to select Encrypted connection (SSL)")
SMTP:smtp.live.com (port 25) (You need to select "My Send server (SMTP) requires authentication")
