First go here (http://www.linuxidc.com/Linux/2008-06/13703.htm) to download two Software LightScribe System Software and LightScribe Simple Labeler deb packages, and then double-click to install. The startup address of the optical engraving software is:
/Opt/lightscribeApplications/SimpleLabeler
Now, you can burn your own carved disk in Ubuntu.

Note: 1. To burn tags, you must flip the optical engraving disk and place the labels face down on the optical drive tray.
2. LightScribe labels can only be monochrome (grayscale)
