VIA releases 800-page technical documentation to the Linux community

VIA published 800-page program design guidance covering PadLock security tools, CX700 and VX800/820 chipset.

VIA PadLock provides a random number generator, an advanced encryption engine, and an RSA encryption algorithm. VX800 chipset is VIA's first integrated graphics core chipset, and CX700 multimedia system processor for the mobile market. This is another step towards supporting the development of Linux free and open-source drivers. these drivers will be pre-installed in VIA products, such as Sylvania NetBook, HP Mini-Note, 15.4 "gBook, gPC, CloudBoo, Zonbu, and VIA OpenBook.
