Ways to customize theme background styles in PowerPoint 2013

1. Start PowerPoint 2013 and open the presentation. On the Design tab, in the Variations group, click the other button

, select the background style option in the Open Drop-down list, and click the background style option in the open cascading list to apply it to the presentation, as shown in Figure 1.

, select the background style option in the Open Drop-down list, and select the Set background formatting option in the Open cascading list to open the Format Background pane, where you want to set the background fill. This is where you set the gradient color used in the fill mode, as shown in Figure 2.

Attention

When setting the background formatting in the Format Background formatting pane, the settings in the pane are automatically applied to the currently selected slide, and you can click the Apply All button in the pane to apply the settings to all slides in the presentation, and click the Reset Background button to restore the background formatting to its original state.
