2. Click Start--Microsoft SQL Server--Client Network Utility----click Add---Network library select TCP/IP; server alias: Database server IP; server name: Database server IP; port default 1433- -Determine

3. Click Start-Program-Microsoft SQL Server--Enterprise Manager--Mouse point Microsoft SQL Servers--Mouse right-click SQL Server Group, click New SQL Server Registration ... .. --Next--add host IP, next---Select the SQL Server login information assigned to me by the system administrator ... ".

Next--Login name: username, password: password, next--......

4, after the success of the connection, please find your database, you can manage your database.

Note: Do not exceed your authority. In general, you can only see the names of other databases without administrative privileges.

I. Setting up a client Network Utility
Click "Start"-"Programs" and choose Client Network Utility from the Microsoft SQL Server menu.

In the alias option, click Add.

In server alias, fill in your site domain name, click TCP/IP in the network library area, cancel dynamic decision port in the connection parameters area, and specify port number 2433. When completed, click "OK" button to save the configuration.

Two. The use of Enterprise Manager
Tap Start-Programs to open Enterprise Manager on the Microsoft SQL Server menu. In Enterprise Manager, right-click SQL Server group and select new SQL Server enrollment.

The SQL Server Properties window appears, the domain name of your site is populated in the server, the "Use SQL Server Authentication", "Login" and "password" are filled in with the username and password of the host-opened message, and then click OK.

Once the connection is successful, you will see a server with the name of your site in the SQL Server group. At this point, you can manage the site database just as you would a local SQL database.



Attention matters
If a timeout error occurs while connecting, change the timeout by clicking Tools-Options.

Select the Advanced tab in the Properties window to set the login timeout value to 0.
