When we return from a visit, we need to share our experiences with others and describe the beautiful scenery. However, in the form of verbal descriptions, others can only learn about the approximate scenic spots. For uploaded pictures, others do not know the actual position of the photo. In fact, using ArcGIS online can easily integrate your own travel routes, photos, or travel notes, and share them with friends. The following example shows how to use ArcGIS online in combination with ArcGIS.
10.1.

Currently, most smartphones have built-in GPS modules and some cameras. Before you start, you 'd better set your device and enable "record location" in camera settings ".

After the feature is enabled, the position of each photo is recorded in the attributes of the photo:

Back from the game, you can use the geotagged photos to points tool In ArcMap to generate point element classes for these photos to be displayed on the map. The tool is located at: data management tools-> photos path:

Run the tool and enter the following parameters:
Input Folder: Path of the photo file.
Output feature class: path and name of the output vertex element class.
Click OK to run the tool.

Add the generated element class to ArcMAP, add a basemap, and preview the effect in the HTML popup window:

Open the attribute table and you can see that the path of the photo is stored in the path field. The path value is currently local:

To share images with friends, you need to upload these image files to the Internet. After the upload, modify the path field to the new network address of the photo. After modifying the field, export the element class as a shape file and package the generated file into a zip package. The package will be uploaded to ArcGIS online in subsequent operations:

 1.2 handle travel routes
For outdoor travel routes, you can use some GPS track recording software to record the routes (I use Android phones and gps2google Earth to record routes, other types of mobile phone operating systems also have similar software ). You can directly drag the recorded kml file to ArcMap to open it. After previewing, you can directly export the layer named placemark_line as the shape file and package it into a zip package, this package file must also be used online.

If the recorded path file is in GPX format, you do not need to process it. Next, you can directly upload it in ArcGIS online.

1.3 Use ArcGIS online plotting and sharing
