2. A Card Driver Installation
My computer graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 4500, the latest a card driver version 12.12 does not support AMD Radeon HD 2xxx-4xxx series graphics card, so choose the driver version 12.6,
The driver should be installed at the end, otherwise the computer's CPU cooling fan will continue to turn crazy, some support programs need to be installed before installation
Sudo apt-get install build-essential cdbs fakeroot dh-make debhelper debconf libstdc ++ 6 dkms
Libqtgui4 wget execstack libelfg0 dh-modaliases linux-headers-generic
Then install the driver.
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: makson96/fglrx
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get upgrade
Sudo apt-get install fglrx-legacy
If a problem occurs, uninstall it.
Sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
Sudo ppa-purge ppa: makson96/fglrx
Energy-saving Configuration
Sudo aticonfig -- initial
Then
Sudo gedit/etc/X11/xorg. conf
Add in Section "Device"
Code:
Option "DynamicClocks" "on" # Dynamic Frequency Conversion energy saving, applicable to laptops
Option "ClockGating" "on" # Dynamic Frequency Conversion energy saving,
Option "ForceLowPowerMode" "on" # force the GPU to use at the lowest frequency, which can be used for summer cooling of the notebook
