In my previous article, "what is the future of RIA?", XUL is an RIA technology that is compatible with Microsoft's XAML and Macromedia's Flex. XUL is based on the Mozilla Browser, free and open-source. XUL can be used to design very beautiful browser-based programs. It can create common controls in traditional desktop interfaces, such as Windows, label, input, radio button, Slider, scroller, etc, it can also be embedded into images, audio and video files, and is very powerful.
Yahoo has recently begun recruiting XUL developers, and it is said that XUL technology will be used to develop photomail interfaces. This shows that XUL is gradually gaining attention from major companies in the industry. Maybe XUL will be as popular as Ajax.

If you are interested, you can see the live demo. It is very cool to implement various interface controls!
For PHP programmers, it is very easy to use XUL for development and will write some related articles in the future.
